Welcome to St Chris

A warm welcome from the Admissions team, and thank you for your interest in St Chris.

We introduced this online system to make applying to St Chris easier for families: enabling them to request, access and submit information at any time of day. However, the Admissions team is still on hand to oversee the process, offering help and advice whenever needed, so do contact us anytime Monday to Friday during office hours (9am to 5pm) on 01462 650947.

You can use this portal for the whole admissions process, from making an initial enquiry to completing acceptance paperwork. Hopefully, you will find each step easy and helpful to use, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Please use the Submit an Enquiry button (above) to let us know that you are interested in learning more about St Chris. We will then send you a prospectus as a first step, so please do include your home address.

Once you have registered your details in the Enquiry section, you will be able to log -in to access other areas such as booking an open event or making an application.

Open Day

For many families, an open event is their first visit to St Chris. There are four events planned for the academic year 2019-20: Whole School Open Morning in September; Sixth Form Open Evening in October; Junior School Open Morning in March, and Whole School Open Evening in June.

Families can pre-register for open events via this portal using the Open Day button (above). Once you have booked for an open event, we will contact you by email with all of the information for the day, including your tour time.

Please do let us know if a member of your family has access requirements.

Families are welcome to visit the school on a normal working day for a private tour. These are available on specific weekdays, and can be booked via this portal using the Tour button (above).

Private tours take about an hour and include a meeting with the Head and a tour with current pupils (usually in your child's entry year group). Some families follow an open event visit with a private tour, others choose to book a private tour only; there is no correct procedure, it is entirely down to individual choice.

Please do let us know if a member of your family has access requirements.

Apply Online

If you would like to make an application for your child, please use the Apply Online button (above) to move to the formal application stage.

Making an application involves completing the online Registration Form, paying a non-refundable Registration Fee of £100 and uploading your child's most recent school report. We will also approach your child’s current school for a reference. For children with Individual Needs (learning or pastoral) we ask parents to provide all supporting information at the application stage, (please find more information about this on the school website).

The Admissions team will then be in touch by letter with a date for your child to visit the school. For the Early Years Centre and Junior School, this will be time with us on a normal working day (with an assessment and meeting with the Head of the Junior School for children in Year 5 and 6); for the Senior School an assessment morning and meeting with the Head, and for Sixth Form a meeting with the Head. Please see the main school website for further details.

Please be aware that we receive a high number of applications, and it can take time at busier times of the year (for example the Autumn Winter Term) to process applications.
